Become a crucial part of Clarington’s recreational dance programs as an Instructor 2 starting September 2026. Offer children a joyful and safe environment to learn dance fundamentals.

The Community Services Division is seeking an enthusiastic instructor to lead and supervise registered dance initiatives. With a focus on children’s safety and enjoyment, your role involves adapting the program to fit participant needs and ensuring effective communication with parents and staff. Experience in teaching dance and developing inclusive programs is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and implement dance instruction

• Develop fun dance programs tailored for children

• Adapt lessons based on participant abilities

• Assist participants and provide first aid as needed

• Ensure safety through program reports and evaluations

Requirements:

• At least 16 years old, demonstrating leadership

• 1-2 years of recreation experience with children

• Expertise in ballet, jazz, and hip-hop

• Must obtain Standard First Aid and CPR “C” certification

• Teaching and supervisory experience advantageous
