Special Education Teacher – CASA Program

Make a difference in the lives of students with autism as a Special Education Teacher in the CASA program  part of a commitment to equity and excellence in education.

This full-time role at Holy Trinity CSS in Courtice requires expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Collaborate effectively with support staff to deliver customized instruction based on individual learning goals, ensuring a supportive and nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement tailored educational programming for autism

• Develop and track Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

• Attend case conferences and IPRC meetings

• Facilitate teaching in self-regulation and life skills

• Follow PVNC safety protocols and intervention strategies

Requirements:

• Ontario College of Teachers certification with senior qualification

• Special Education Specialist certification or equivalent

• Training and experience with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)

• Previous work with Autism Spectrum Disorders

• Knowledge of board policies on safety and support

Drive change and provide exceptional education for students with Autism in the CASA program at PVNCCDSB.
