Join DDSB as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher specializing in Science and PLP. This full-time position offers a chance to inspire students in a supportive environment during Semester One.

In this role with the Durham District School Board, you will provide instruction for grades 9 to 12, focusing on Special Education and General Science. You'll assess student performance, deliver lesson plans, and create a classroom atmosphere that promotes inclusivity. Collaboration with fellow educators and the community will be key to enhancing the educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement curriculum-based lessons for secondary students

• Monitor and assess student learning outcomes

• Establish an inclusive environment where every student is valued

• Work collaboratively with parents and colleagues to promote learning

• Tailor teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles

Requirements:

• OCT in good standing required

• Subject qualifications in Special Education and General Science

• Teaching experience with secondary school students

• Provide a current Criminal Background Check

• Commitment to fostering an equitable classroom
