Position: Empower Excellence Teacher for Grade 1
Elevate your teaching career as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher in an Empower Excellence School with the Durham District School Board. Support and engage Grade 1 students in their learning journey!

In this role, you will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students. Your lessons will reflect the needs of diverse learners, and through collaboration with fellow educators and families, you will enhance the learning experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging, curriculum-based lessons

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

• Establish a positive and inclusive classroom setting

• Collaborate with staff, parents, and the community

• Modify teaching strategies to meet diverse needs

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario teaching certificate (OCT)

• Qualifications for Primary education

• Current Criminal Background Check mandatory

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment
