Position: Full Time Grade 1/2 Teacher at KPR
Location: Bowmanville

Lead Grade 1/2 French Immersion classes at Duke of Cambridge Public School with KAWARTHA PINE RIDGE DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD. This temporary Full-Time Occasional role seeks qualified educators with expertise in Primary and French as a Second Language.

The KPR school board is currently filling a long-term occasional position at its Bowmanville location. Ideal candidates should hold qualifications in Primary Education, French Immersion, and possess a clear police check.

Your role will focus on enhancing student learning in French Immersion settings from now until December 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement immersive French language lessons

• Assess student performance and provide feedback regularly

• Foster a positive classroom environment

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum

• Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress

Requirements:

• Ontario College of Teachers certification in good standing

• Recent police record check with Vulnerable Sector Search

• Experience in primary education and French Immersion settings

• Proven ability to support diverse learning needs

• Commitment to ongoing professional development
