Position: Join DDSB as Lunchroom Supervisor
Location: Whitby

Become a Lunchroom Supervisor with the Durham District School Board, focusing on student safety during lunch breaks. Make a difference in students’ daily routines and wellbeing.

In this role, you will report to the Principal and provide vital support in supervising students over their lunch hour. Tasks include getting the lunchroom ready, overseeing cleanup, and ensuring waste is disposed of properly. You also will manage discipline in the lunchroom according to school policies and report to the Principal as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during lunch on a daily or supply basis

• Ensure lunchroom equipment is properly set up and removed

• Oversee lunch refuse disposal in appropriate containers

• Handle discipline as directed and report to the Principal

• Complete other noon hour duties assigned by the Principal

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people required

• Capable of ensuring student safety and security

• Strong communication skills with staff, students, and parents

• Open to working with diverse student needs

• Excellent attendance and punctuality required
