Fall Night School Teacher

Virtual and Required In-person Session at a Location TBD for final exam

Hourly Rate:
$64.22/hour

Hours:

Tuesday and Thursday Nights from October 13, 2026 - January 28, 2027

5:30 PM - 9:00 PM (Classes do not run from December 21, 2026 to January 1, 2027)

Federation Affiliation:
While performing this position, you are a member of the Ontario Secondary School teachers' Federation representing the District 18 Teachers' Bargaining Unit. Union dues will apply.

JOB SUMMARY:

Our Night School classes will be offered through a synchronous online model, in which students will engage in direct instruction for 7 hours per week. Students will be expected to be online from 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM, on Tuesday and Thursday nights starting on October 13th and running for 14 weeks. During this time students will be expected to engage in a mixture of full class, small group and individual work as the teacher assigns.

Students write their in-person exams on January 26th, 27th, or 28th and you will be required to supervise in person.

* All courses are dependent on enrollment, funding and system needs. Courses may not be offered or may not be able to run.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, ASSETS:

OCT Certified Teacher

Senior Biology

An original Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) must be provided prior to the commencement of employment (if the successful candidate is external). The VSC must be dated within 6 months of the start date of employment. For further information, refer to the UGDSB's Criminal Record Check requirements.
