Summary:
The Proposal Writer/Coordinator will play a pivotal part in the preparation, coordination, and submission of proposals for a variety of construction projects. This role has a focus on accuracy, compliance, and organization that will contribute to the success in winning new business opportunities and delivering outstanding projects for Clearway Construction. The Proposal Writer/Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Bid and Proposal Manager.
Location:
Clearway s Head Office – Maple, ON. Hours of Operations: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST).
- Thoroughly review RFPs, RFQs, RFTs and RFIs documents and drawings to create comprehensive requirement tables, ensuring the completeness and compliance of our submissions.
- Collaborate with the team to contribute to the development of compelling proposals for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Engage in various project pursuit activities, spanning Stipulated Price (Bid-Build), Design-Build, and Construction/Project Management project deliveries.
- Provide assistance in preparing Pre-qualification and Proposal submissions for potential projects.
- Assist in the coordination of communication with sub-contractors regarding tender closings.
- Maintain and update our existing sub-contractor database.
- Organize and manage proposal documents both digitally and in hard copy format.
- Contribute to the creation of draft narratives that address proposal requirements.
- Support document management tasks, including data entry and file maintenance.
- Assist in the collection and tracking of submission statistics.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date descriptions of our company s experience and capabilities.
- Assist Senior Management, Estimating, and Operations teams by providing necessary information to support business development efforts.
- A degree in Engineering or Construction Management, Communications, Architecture, or related program is considered an asset.
- 1-5 years within the construction industry, heavy civil considered a strong asset.
- Experience as a construction project coordinator an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, compliant proposals.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic understanding of construction terminology, processes, and project delivery methods is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn and contribute actively to our proposal development efforts.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada – no work permit sponsorship is available for this position

Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000 (CAD). The posted salary range is intended to provide transparency and may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
