Powerline Technician – Elexicon Energy

Location: Whitby

Elexicon Energy seeks a Powerline Technician to ensure safe and efficient power delivery in Ontario. This role involves live line maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting techniques.

As part of the team at Elexicon Energy, the technician will focus on overhead and underground line construction. Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of safety practices, live line work, and equipment operation. Key responsibilities include responding to outages, complying with safety regulations, and performing emergency restorations when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and maintain power lines from 120V to 44,000V

• Operate various specialized equipment for installations

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols

• Respond to power outages and emergency situations

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• Registered as Power Line Technician Apprentice

• Level 3 apprentice requirements completed

• Class AZ/DZ driver's license required

• CPR/First Aid certification mandatory

• Knowledge of live line techniques preferred
