Location: Bowmanville
Join GFL Environmental in Bowmanville, ON as a Lab Technician and support various commercial projects. This in-field position focuses on sampling, waste analysis, and laboratory operations.
As a Lab Technician, your role involves performing analytical tests and ensuring compliance with safety regulations in waste management. You will work closely with production teams, manage lab records, and provide technical assistance to clients on waste classification.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct site visits and sampling for waste materials
• Perform laboratory analyses using advanced instrumentation
• Complete safety paperwork and manage lab data
• Prepare all necessary glassware for sample analysis
• Assist in emergency spill response as required
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Environmental or Chemical Engineering
• Familiarity with laboratory protocols and safety guidelines
• Computer proficiency, especially with MS Windows
• Detail-oriented and safety-conscious mindset
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime regularly
