Junior Pavement Engineer

Position: Junior Pavement Engineer at WSP
Location: Whitby

Join WSP as a Junior Pavement Technician based in Whitby, Ontario. Work hands-on in pavement investigations, borehole drilling, and condition assessments for transportation infrastructure.

As part of your role, you will conduct detailed pavement condition surveys and compile critical inspection data for municipal and provincial projects. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and technicians, gaining valuable mentorship and practical experience while adhering to WSP’s safety standards. The position promises a mix of field work and office tasks, crucial for developing your skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct condition surveys and field inspections on site

• Document pavement investigations and assessment data

• Create technical notes and reports with inspection outcomes

• Work closely with engineers for pavement solutions

• Follow safety and quality standards during fieldwork

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

• 2-3 years of related field experience

• Knowledge of Ontario standards such as MTO

• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills

• Valid Ontario driver’s licence for travel purposes
