Location: Whitby
Be part of the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) as a Facilities Projects Coordinator. This role is crucial for coordinating design and ensuring compliance on all facilities projects.
You will report to the Supervisor of Project Planning while managing small to medium-sized facilities projects. Your responsibilities will include developing design specs, overseeing contractors, and ensuring all work adheres to relevant codes, such as the Ontario Building Code. Strong analytical and AutoCAD skills are vital for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate projects from specification to completion
• Develop and maintain AutoCAD drawings for facilities
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Schedule external support and contractors as needed
• Prepare requirements for furniture and equipment tenders
Requirements:
• Experience in facilities design and coordination
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software
• In-depth understanding of safety and building codes
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
• Experience in project management and planning
