Senior Mechanical CAD Draftsperson OPG

Location: Bowmanville

OPG is seeking a skilled Senior Draftsperson to create mechanical CAD drawings for a nuclear facility. This Bowmanville, ON contract role emphasizes accurate designs and teamwork.

In this position, you'll prepare mechanical drawings for equipment and piping systems to facilitate procurement and installation. Reporting to the Manager of Design Engineering, you will ensure drawing accuracy and completeness while applying your technical expertise in geometry and trigonometry. Strong collaboration skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Revise CAD drawings ensuring they meet project standards

• Validate reference data and determine efficient work approaches

• Conduct necessary calculations to enhance drawing accuracy

• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve technical drawing issues

• Ensure drawings reflect current and as-built site configurations

Requirements:

• 2-year mechanical engineering technology diploma

• 4+ years in mechanical CAD deliverables

• Expertise in developing piping system layouts

• Experience in plant walkdowns for as-built verification

• Strong communication skills for multi-discipline coordination
