Ensure regulatory compliance and manage environmental systems as a Water Wastewater Compliance Coordinator for the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. This full-time role focuses on drinking water quality management and requires strong administrative skills.
Reporting to the Water Wastewater Manager, you will develop the Drinking Water Quality Management System and oversee audits to assure adherence to legislation. You will also manage data input, provide training support for staff, and liaise with regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues. Your commitment to excellence will help maintain the integrity of water and wastewater services in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee the Drinking Water Quality Management System
• Conduct internal and external audits for compliance
• Monitor legislative changes and recommend solutions
• Manage training and certification records for staff
• Prepare reports for compliance inspections and strategic initiatives
Requirements:
• College Diploma in Environmental Science or related field
• Certifications from Walkerton Clean Water Centre
• Minimum three years related work experience
• Strong knowledge of DWQMS and related regulations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Lead compliance efforts to ensure high standards in water quality and environmental management systems for MSIFN.
