Magna is seeking a Paint Automation Technologist to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology with experience in automation and calibration. This dynamic role involves managing high-level robotic implementations and supporting equipment maintenance to optimize paint processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Calibrate and maintain ABB Robot Studio simulation environments
• Program and troubleshoot robotic paint processes
• Design equipment predictive maintenance programs
• Proactively identify cycle time and robot collision issues
• Create technotes and maintain software application files
Requirements:
• Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Minimum 3 years of experience with automation equipment
• Strong knowledge of ABB Robotics S4P and IRC5
• Experience with Solid Works and network troubleshooting
• Availability to work any shift, including weekends
