Lead environmental initiatives with St Marys Cement, part of Votorantim Cimentos. This role focuses on compliance, project development, and sustainability practices within a hybrid work model.
As the Environmental Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal regulations. Your expertise will be critical in managing environmental policies, obtaining necessary permits, and liaising with government agencies. The role also includes coordinating environmental monitoring, budgeting for environmental activities, and promoting sustainable practices across the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans
• Organize and lead the environmental team at the plant
• Obtain necessary environmental approvals and permits
• Monitor environmental compliance and implement programs
• Train staff on environmental responsibilities
Requirements:
• University degree in Engineering, Science, or Environmental field
• Five years of related industry experience
• Three years as an environmental manager
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 certification
• Capability to handle field activities in various environments
