We at Raise are hiring a Manufacturing General & Engineering - Controls Engineer 2 for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.

Location:

Oshawa, ON (On-Site)
Pay Rate: $44/hr - $52/hr
Contract Length: 12 Months

Job Responsibilities:

Engineer and design electrical wiring diagrams.
Design/troubleshoot electrical control panels.
Design/troubleshoot programmable logic controller software.
Design programmable human machine interface (HMI) software.
Tryout, debug and provide start-up support for control systems.
Provide technical support for installation of tools and equipment.
Provide technical support for training of plant personnel.
This is a position based out of Oshawa ON, with daily onsite requirements

Skills:

Proficient with application of programmable machine controls hardware and software. (Allan Bradley, Siemens)
Proficient with application of Servo drive hardware and software.
Proficient with Auto Cad and/or Eplan
Familiarity with basic electrical standards.
Familiarity with basic safety standards.
Capable of supervision.
Education/

Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma in a technical field or trades certification with applicable experience.
2-4 years of experience required.
Top three skills:
Ability to troubleshoot using RS logix 5000
Ability to troubleshoot hardware in the field
Ability to think analytically in challenging time bound situations
