Job Overview

  • End-to-End Leadership:
    Lead the Finance workstream through all phases of the SAP S/4

    HANA implementation lifecycle, from initial planning and requirements gathering to go-live and post-implementation support.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Serve as the key liaison between finance business stakeholders, the system integrator, and project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on business needs and priorities.
  • Business Process Design:
    Facilitate workshops and meetings to define, document, and optimize finance and accounting business processes, ensuring alignment with S/4

    HANA best practices and organizational objectives.
  • Hands-On Data

    Activities:

    Actively participate in finance data preparation, cleansing, migration, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
    Develop and execute test plans, lead business process and user acceptance testing, and ensure timely resolution of defects and issues.
  • Training & Change Management:
    Build training materials and deliver hands-on training sessions for finance users. Support change management efforts to drive user adoption and readiness.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    Work closely with other business and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of finance processes with related functions.
  • Project Delivery:
    Manage workstream deliverables, timelines, risks, and issues, providing regular updates to project leadership and proactively resolving challenges.
  • Compliance & Controls:
    Ensure all finance processes and deliverables comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Cutover & Hypercare Support:
    Provide hands-on support during cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases, troubleshooting issues and ensuring a smooth transition to new ways of working.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Proven experience leading finance workstreams in SAP S/4

    HANA or similar ERP implementation projects.
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of finance and accounting business processes across the end-to-end finance function.
  • Experience working directly with system integrators and cross-functional project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead data migration, business testing, and user training activities.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Project management experience is an asset.
