Strategic Government Relations Manager Opg

Overview  Join Ontario Power Generation as a Strategic Government Relations Manager in a temporary contract.

This role offers hands-on leadership in stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy within the energy sector. You will report directly to the Director of Federal Government Relations and lead initiatives that enhance OPG's outreach efforts.
Responsibilities   Implement stakeholder engagement strategies that align with business objectives
Cultivate and manage relationships with federal and industry stakeholders
Develop outreach strategies enhancing OPG’s leadership in clean energy
Represent OPG at forums, crafting speaking materials for key events
Mentor and lead a dedicated government relations team
Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree in political science or similar
5+ years of progressive experience in government relations
In-depth knowledge of government structures and issues management
Solid relationship-building capabilities with external stakeholders
Effective communication skills for senior-level presentations
