Join Lakeridge Health as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, providing essential services in Oshawa and Ajax-Pickering. Contribute to diagnostic imaging while maintaining patient safety and quality care in a full-time setting.
This pivotal role involves collaborating with the Nuclear Medicine/PET Manager while performing PET-CT and nuclear medicine procedures. You’ll be responsible for assisting physicians, ensuring patient comfort, and managing workflow in the department. Your expertise will play a vital role in training future technologists and supporting departmental functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct specialized PET-CT and nuclear medicine procedures
• Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times
• Lead the planning for daily patient flow in the department
• Aid in administrative and clerical tasks for efficiency
• Support training initiatives for student technologists
Requirements:
• Valid registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists
• Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
• Familiarity with Ministry reporting and electronic systems
• 2 years of related experience in a community hospital environment
• Current BLS certification and adherence to safety protocols
