General Motors is seeking a full-time Safety Representative with a focus on Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and regulatory compliance. Suitable candidates will collaborate with leadership and union representatives to solve site-specific issues and guide safety protocols. This position involves analyzing safety data to enhance workplace practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure regulatory and GM compliance at the site
• Collaborate with union reps to resolve site issues
• Provide technical advice on Workplace Safety and Industrial Hygiene
• Assist leadership in maintaining health and safety standards
• Contribute to the development of annual Safety action plans
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required
• 2+ years of experience in Workplace Safety or Industrial Hygiene
• Knowledge of Ontario’s Occupational Health Safety Act
• Strong initiative and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
