Position: Housekeeper (Part-time) - Port Perry
Location: Port PerryGreat Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Housekeeper!
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring professional aesthetic and presentation of all areas at the Casino.
The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:
Excellent internal and external customer service skills are required to be displayed at all timesMaintain a physical presence throughout the Casino to ensure areas are kept clean, fully stocked and free of debrisVacuum, sweep, scrub, mop, and wax floors as required or as scheduledSafeguard all confidential information and to exercise due care to prevent its improper disclosure or useMaintain the Casino in a manner which reduces slips, trips and fall hazardsEnsure all supplies are being used in a proper mannerEnsure all housekeeping equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions to the Housekeeping Supervisor immediatelyMaintain a good public relations with patrons and employeesOther duties may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Facilities ManagerSuccessful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:
Minimum one year of cleaning experience in a commercial environment preferredDedicated to optimal customer serviceAbility to lift up to 50 lbsSpecific knowledge of floor care, commercial cleaning products, WHMISStrong time management and ability to prioritize tasksAbility to maintain confidentialitySelf-motivated and able to work in a team environment and/or independentlyAbility to communicate clearly and effectively in EnglishAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to perform tasks and duties effectively and safely within prescribed time limitsThe ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights.
