Security Operations Analyst SIMNET

Location: Whitby

Pursue a rewarding role at SIMNET as a Security Operations Analyst in Whitby, Ontario. This full-time position focuses on proactive incident management and compliance in a collaborative setting.

You will maintain accurate security documentation and respond to incidents while leveraging your knowledge of security frameworks. Working closely with the SOC team, you’ll analyze logs, conduct vulnerability assessments, and play a crucial role in developing security awareness programs. Your contributions will directly shape our incident response effectiveness and overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security events through SIEM tools for remediation

• Investigate potential security threats and recommend actions

• Document incident response processes and provide updates

• Implement vulnerability management programs for infrastructure

• Enhance SOC processes by providing feedback and improvements

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in SOC or a related operational role

• Familiarity with GRC, cybersecurity frameworks, and protocols

• Working knowledge of network security technologies

• Experience in incident handling and analysis

• Certifications in information security like GIAC are a plus
