Lead the transformation of data architecture with a large industrial client in Oshawa as a Senior Data Architect. This hybrid contract role focuses on Azure and Databricks technologies.
As a Senior Data Architect, you will drive the architecture and integration of large-scale Azure/Databricks applications. You will lead a cross-discipline agile team, focusing on developing scalable data pipelines and products that enhance customer-centric digital experiences.
Your role includes being a thought leader on data lake houses, warehousing, and best practices for data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and oversee implementation of scalable data ELT/ETL pipelines
• Architect innovative data solutions leveraging various data sources
• Act as subject matter expert for data lake and warehousing
• Collaborate with teams to optimize data structures for performance
• Ensure best practices in development, security, and documentation
Requirements:
• Extensive experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Knowledge of Azure SQL Databases and Data Lake
• Strong background in data modeling and pipeline design
• Ability to create low-latency and event-driven data processing
• Leadership experience in data architecture and design
