Linamar invites applications for a Buyer specializing in Steel Commodities, where your role will significantly impact corporate profitability and productivity. You will work closely with engineers and manage supplier performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies to reduce procurement costs
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and track bids
• Negotiate pricing and contracts for materials
• Control and monitor costs in response to market changes
• Maintain overview of supplier performance and assist with analytics
Requirements:
• Educational background in Supply Chain Management
• Minimum 3 years of relevant purchasing experience
• Ability to analyze costs and negotiate successfully
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Solid foundation in commodity management
