Casual Custodial Worker

Join the City of Oshawa as a Casual Custodial Worker this fall. This part-time position involves general maintenance, customer service, and ensuring facility cleanliness.

This seasonal role reports to the Working Foreperson at a recreation facility and requires candidates to be full-time students. Key responsibilities include assisting with cleaning tasks, providing first aid, and maintaining public areas while following safety protocols and City policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with ice floods and dressing room cleaning

• Maintain washrooms and pick up debris

• Support sidewalk snow clearing and garbage disposal

• Provide effective customer service to patrons

• Report conflicts and enforce facility policies

Requirements:

• Minimum 16 years of age

• Must be a full-time student or returning in Fall

• Previous maintenance experience is an asset

• Current Standard First Aid/CPR ‘C’ qualifications

• Criminal Information Request required prior to start
