Position: Training Coordinator - Welding (3-Year Contract)
Location: BowmanvilleWhat is the Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract in an Aecon-led partnership with Kiewit Nuclear Canada by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025 Aecon will support the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.
Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and coordination of weld training activities for DNNP employees.
What You'll Do Here:
Responsible for training coordination and qualification maintenance for all employees entering the weld training program.Responsible to ensure training is completed, documented, and records completed and stored to an auditable standard.Ensures all administrative requirements are met for trainees.Coordinates with site supervision and weld training Superintendent to plan, schedule and record all training events.Ensures training records are kept up to date in shared drive and project Learning Management System.Maintains electronic filing system for training material using SharePoint.Provides support to the Trainers and Training Supervisors.Other duties as required.What You Bring to the Team:
