Production Lead - Robotics
Location:
Oshawa, ON | Type:
Full-time, Permanent |
Start Date:
June 2026
We are looking for a proactive, technically structured leader to own the end-to-end assembly and manufacturing journey of our autonomous vehicles. You will be the primary anchor for Korechi’s factory floor, responsible for everything from initial component inventory and mechanical assembly to final quality control and supply chain scaling. Your mission is to ensure our robot fleets - built for local golf driving ranges and high-end country clubs - are manufactured safely, on time, and to the exact engineering standards our clients rely on.
This is a fully on-site position at our Oshawa headquarters.
- Production & Deployment:
Lead the "Design-to-Delivery" handoff, managing the assembly floor to ensure robot fleets are built efficiently and integrated seamlessly into delivery timelines. - Assembly Training:
Develop and deliver comprehensive assembly procedures and training programs so that assembly technicians can confidently build and wire our autonomous systems. - Quality Assurance & Triage:
Serve as the final gatekeeper for product quality. Diagnose assembly issues, recommend process improvements, and elevate critical design bugs to the engineering team. - Voice of the Floor:
Regularly gather manufacturing feedback and build data to advocate for Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) adjustments during internal engineering roadmap discussions. - Inventory & Procurement:
Monitor component health, lead times, and supply metrics to identify bottleneck risks and proactively drive vendor relationships for scaling our modular attachments. - Facility Engagement:
Maintain workspace safety, tool calibration, and organization across the production floor to create standardized manufacturing and hardware testing protocols.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Production, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - Experience:
2+ years in a production leadership or manufacturing role (Production Lead, Assembly Supervisor, or Manufacturing Coordinator), preferably within the Robotics or Automotive industry. - Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to translate complex engineering schematics into clear, actionable assembly advice for production staff. - Problem-Solving: A resilient, mechanical "figure-it-out" mindset capable of troubleshooting hardware assembly and electrical wiring issues under fast-paced shop conditions.
- Tech Literacy:
Proficiency with ERP/MRP tools, CAD software viewers, and a baseline comfort with robotic hardware systems (sensors, actuators, and wiring harnesses).
- Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of hardware scaling, supply chain management, or lean manufacturing principles. - Technical Curiosity: A "maker at heart" who enjoys building and learning about LiDAR integration, GNSS hardware, and rugged electric drive trains.
- Project Management:
Experience managing multi-unit production runs and coordinating across engineering, procurement, and sales departments. - Leadership:
Experience mentoring junior assembly technicians or building factory floor assembly processes from the ground up.
