Warehouse Material Handler

Overview   Safety-Kleen  in  Oshawa, ON  is seeking a  Material Handler  to join their safety-conscious team. The primary responsibilities include handling and assisting in organizing hazardous materials, inventory, as well as shipping and receiving responsibilities.
Responsibilities   Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
Locate and transfer part shortages within the plant as required for completion of assemblies.
Load and unload route trucks with supplies and equipment for the next day’s runs.
Verify and maintain stock records, shortage reports and other documentation; assist with inventory counts.
Utilize small hand tools and operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks where required.
Complete administrative duties such as labeling, printing, and organizing route sheets.
Perform other warehouse duties and procedures as required.
Handle shipping and receiving responsibilities.
Assist with packaging, segregation, and handling of hazardous waste.
Lift boxes, move drums with a drum dolly, and move pallets and materials.
Qualifications   2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment.
Forklift operating experience is a strong asset.
Knowledge of hazardous material handling, disposal and regulatory requirements is a strong asset.
Ability to take on responsibilities, be a self-starter, and work on their own.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Familiarity with computer software such as Microsoft Office.
G License required with reliable transportation.
