Production Supervisor; Plating

Position: Production Supervisor (Plating)
Location: Whitby

We are looking for a  Production Supervisor (Plating)  for one of our automotive manufacturing clients near  Whitby, ON .

Pay  - Up to $80,000

Responsibilities

Supervise chrome plating and laboratory operations to ensure production, quality, and safety targets are met.

Lead shift employees, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

Monitor plating processes, chemical controls, and testing results, making adjustments as needed.

Review production and quality data to maintain efficient operations.

Troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Oversee wastewater treatment, filtration, and fluid systems related to plating operations.

Conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, and promote safe work practices.

Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.

Recommend process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and equipment performance.

Must-Have Qualifications

3–5 years of laboratory experience

Supervisory experience in a unionized environment

Experience with chrome plating processes

Experience with waste treatment systems, filtration, and fluid systems

Background in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or related field

Strong knowledge of quality control, chemical process controls, testing, and analysis

Health & Safety experience (OHSA, JHSC, layered audits, incident investigations)
