Become a vital part of Age Care's team in Oshawa as a Registered Practical Nurse, where you will deliver crucial nursing support. Your skills in geriatric care will enhance residents’ quality of life.
This role requires you to work collaboratively with a Registered Nurse, implementing best practices short-term and long-term care frameworks. You will be responsible for notifying relevant physicians about any significant resident changes, as well as directing Personal Support Workers to ensure optimal care outcomes. Age Care prioritizes meaningful connections within a supportive community atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver professional nursing care to residents daily
• Collaborate with health care teams for cohesive care
• Notify physicians of any critical resident changes
• Guide Personal Support Workers effectively
• Contribute to shift reports with informed updates
Requirements:
• Must hold a current RPN Certificate of Competence
• Experience in long-term or rehabilitation nursing
• Well-versed in Ontario health care regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for enhancing resident experiences
