Join Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as a Registered Practical Nurse and provide specialized care to patients with complex mental illnesses. Engage in recovery-focused care in the Complex General Psychiatry B Unit.
The role requires RPNs to collaborate with an interprofessional team, focusing on crisis intervention and stabilization of patients. Candidates must be ready to work across various units as patient needs arise, developing strong interpersonal relationships while implementing recovery philosophies. You will be an essential part of a dedicated health care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized nursing care to complex mental health patients
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Implement recovery-focused practices and philosophies
• Maintain compliance with CNO Standards of Practice
• Document care interventions and patient needs accurately
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current CPR Health Care Provider certification
• Knowledge of CNO and Canadian Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability for shift work
