Enhance your nursing career with Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as a Registered Nurse in our Forensic Program. Engage with complex mental health cases while using a recovery-focused model of care.
As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized care within the Forensic Assessment Unit. This role includes Charge Nurse responsibilities and encourages active participation in a multidisciplinary team for patient rehabilitation. Your commitment to high standards of psychiatric nursing will directly impact patient recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized care in the Forensic Program
• Perform Charge Nurse duties, leading the nursing team
• Engage in clinical assessment and documentation of care
• Model Recovery philosophy in all service aspects
• Collaborate as part of an interprofessional team
Requirements:
• Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
• BScN is preferred; current CPR certification required
• Knowledge of relevant psychiatric nursing standards
• Proven competence in clinical assessment and case management
• Ability to work shifts with a strong attendance record
