Job OverviewAs a Registered Nurse, you will become an integral member of the interprofessional team responsible for providing compassionate, patient and family centered emergency care. This would be a supportive orientation to Emergency where you would complete the required courses with support from the Professional Practice Leader for learning opportunities.
Requirements- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of acute care/ED nursing experience
- RNAO membership is preferred
- ENPC certification is an asset; or willing to complete within 6 months of hire
- Excellent physical assessment skills, are required
- Proficient computer skills
- Demonstrated commitment to a patient centred care environment
- Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team
- Well developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills
- Evidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experience
- Demonstrated good attendance and performance record with the ability to maintain these same standards
- Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organizational policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
The successful candidate will be required to work 12 hour evenings, including weekends and statutory holidays. Upon being fully trained this role could change to include days and/or nights. Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.
CompensationUONA 01 Range: $41.15 - $58.98
