Explore a full-time role as a Registered Practical Nurse at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa, Ontario. Deliver client-centred mental health and addiction care while ensuring patient security and nursing standards.
As part of the Psychiatry General department, you will provide clinical care within inpatient mental health units, including the General and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. This role requires registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and offers the chance to work within an interprofessional team dedicated to patient recovery and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical assessments and develop interprofessional care plans
• Implement and evaluate treatment based on patient needs
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to CNO standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Engage in reflective practice and continuous improvement
Requirements:
• Current registration with Ontario's College of Nurses
• At least 1 year of experience in mental health or addictions
• Valid B.C.L.S. certification
• Excellent knowledge of group dynamics and mental health resources
• Strong communication skills for therapeutic relationships
