In this pivotal role, you will be part of the inter-disciplinary Crisis Intervention Team. Your experience in acute psychiatric nursing will guide you in providing trauma-informed care, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining comprehensive nursing records. This hiring is open to all qualified ONA staff within Lakeridge Health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate as part of the Crisis Intervention Team
• Conduct psychiatric assessments and crisis interventions
• Maintain nursing records and ensure professionalism
• Advocate for anti-stigma practices in care
• Support emergency mental health responses
Requirements:
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Three years of current acute psychiatric nursing experience
• Canadian Nursing Association certification preferred
• Completion of Crisis Prevention Training within a month
• Current BCLS certificate required
