Join the Integrated Community Access Program as a full-time Community Mental Health Nurse specializing in psychosis services in Whitby, ON. Provide critical nursing assessment and treatment to patients with serious mental illness.
In this full-time role, you will be an essential member of the outreach team, focusing on individuals diagnosed with psychosis. Your responsibilities will include clinical assessments, group facilitation, and consultative services to clients and community partners. The ideal candidate will have a creative approach to complex challenges and will engage in service redesign within a collaborative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive mental health nursing services
• Conduct clinical assessments and facilitate treatment groups
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams effectively
• Educate clients and families on treatment plans
• Support community reintegration for long-stay patients
Requirements:
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 3-5 years psychiatric nursing experience
• Knowledge of psychotropic medication management
• Experience with community mental health services
• Ability to work with diverse populations
