This Registered Nurse works in the Oncology/Nephrology Department within Lakeridge Health’s Medicine Program. The position involves patient care, multidisciplinary collaboration, nursing documentation, and maintaining professional competence. Oncology, palliative, nephrology, and medical-surgical experience support the department’s patient and family care needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Use the nursing process to provide patient care
- Participate in the Health Care Team
- Maintain nursing records accurately
- Function within a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain current nursing competence and professionalism
- Register with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Maintain current Basic Life Support certification
- Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
- Apply tact and empathy in stressful situations
- Show organizational, problem-solving, and teaching skills
