Working in Psychiatry General within Mental Health & Addictions, you will provide patient care through the nursing process in a primary nursing environment. You will participate with the Health Care Team and Nursing Team while maintaining professional competence. The position requires accurate nursing records and experience in acute mental health settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient care using the nursing process
Participate as a Health Care Team member
Contribute to the Nursing Team
Maintain competence and current professional practice
Maintain accurate nursing records
Requirements:
Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
Current BCLS certification
Minimum two years inpatient mental health or addictions experience
BScN degree required
Mental health assessment and communication skills
Apply nursing process, mental health assessment, and therapeutic communication skills as part of Lakeridge Health’s Psychiatry General team.
