Deliver person-centred nursing care at Bon Air Long Term Care Residence in Cannington, Ontario, using clinical assessment and care planning skills.
The Registered Practical Nurse provides clinical leadership for safe, high-quality resident care. This position coordinates nursing delivery, completes assessments, contributes to interRAI care planning, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams. The RPN also supports medication safety, documentation excellence, infection prevention, and resident advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate nursing care preserving dignity, choice, and quality of life
Complete assessments and adjust care plan interventions collaboratively
Communicate resident status changes and care updates promptly
Administer medications and treatments according to required procedures
Guide care team members and support quality initiatives
Requirements:
Current CNO General Class registration as an RPN
Practice aligned with CNO standards, FLTCA, and O. Reg. 246/22
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong documentation and communication skills
Working knowledge of interRAI assessments and care planning
