Position Summary

The Quality Control Technician supports the quality of the materials that build Ontario’s roads, homes, and communities. This is a hands on, developmental role focused on testing, analysis, and maintaining our quality management systems. You will work across Dufferin Aggregates, Dufferin Concrete, Ontario Ready Mix, and the CRH cement plant, gaining real exposure to how quality, safety, and sustainability come together in day to day operations.

Responsibilities
  • Sample and test aggregate and concrete materials to meet plant, customer, and regulatory standards
  • Record, review, and interpret test results, keeping clear and accurate daily records
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory and field testing equipment
  • Work closely with plant operators, technicians, and supervisors to share results and support quality goals
  • Identify quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement across sites
  • Support additional quality activities that help us reduce waste, improve performance, and build better materials
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Civil, Geological, or Materials Engineering, or OACETT registration
  • Knowledge of aggregate testing methods and Ontario health and safety regulations
  • Strong attention to detail with solid problem solving and communication skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office for data entry and reporting
  • Valid G class driver’s license and ability to travel between sites
  • Willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
