EHS Specialist at Veolia Guelph

The EHS Specialist will oversee the implementation of Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and OSHA compliance programs. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental and workplace health principles, focusing on hazard recognition and control. With at least 5 years of experience in an EHS role at an industrial facility, you will counsel management and employees effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead compliance activities with EHS laws and regulations

• Improve EHS programs to eliminate hazards and reduce risks

• Support investigations of workplace incidents and root cause analyses

• Analyze data for Ergonomics, Noise, and Lockout/Tagout compliance

• Assist in EHS Projects and required reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health, Engineering, or related fields

• Minimum 5 years experience in EHS roles

• Professional certification(s) such as CSP® or CIH preferred

• Strong communication skills for plant management collaboration

• Knowledge of harmful exposure risks and control measures
