Position: Biodiversity Research Technician Role
Contribute to biodiversity studies at the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics as a Research Technician I. Utilize advanced imaging services and high-resolution microscopy to capture detailed specimen images.

This temporary full-time position lasts from June 8, 2026, to June 5, 2027. The role requires strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ideal for candidates passionate about biodiversity or entomology. You'll operate digital SLR cameras and Keyence VHX-7000 Digital Microscopes, assisting in microphotography tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate digital SLR and microscope-camera systems

• Perform high-resolution microphotography of specimens

• Maintain organization and accuracy in data handling

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management

• Collaborate efficiently within a team setting

Requirements:

• Minimum one-year post-secondary education

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• High organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a high-throughput environment

• Flexibility to handle repetitive tasks and adjust schedules
