Position: Research Technician for Imaging Services
Join the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics as a Research Technician I focused on imaging services. Capture 4K microphotography of specimens using cutting-edge digital microscopes and cameras.

This temporary full-time role runs from June 8, 2026, to June 5, 2027. Candidates should possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, making this position suitable for those interested in a career in biodiversity or laboratory work. You will primarily operate Keyence VHX-7000 Digital Microscopes and digital cameras.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage digital SLR and microscope systems for imaging

• Conduct high-resolution imaging of biodiversity specimens

• Ensure data accuracy and organization in all tasks

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and photo editing software

• Work collaboratively both independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

• At least one year of post-secondary education

• Proficient in Excel and data management

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-throughput environment

• Willingness to complete repetitive tasks as needed
