Join the Town of Whitby as a Security Supervisor to shape a safe environment for residents and visitors. Manage security operations and promote community relations in this hybrid role.

In this leadership position, you will report to the Senior Manager, Security & Enforcement Services, and be responsible for developing the Town's security philosophy and strategies. By facilitating a secure atmosphere, you will act as a liaison between law enforcement and Town services, while implementing crime prevention programs. Your skills will help foster collaboration and ensure public safety across Whitby.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and monitor corporate security initiatives

• Coordinate with external security contractors

• Assess security incident reports and responses

• Carry out investigations into security matters

• Control the annual budget for security initiatives

Requirements:

• University degree in relevant discipline

• Extensive security experience (minimum 5 years)

• Understanding of public safety regulations

• Hold a valid Ontario Security Licence

• Excellent leadership and negotiation skills
