Join TO Wards Peace as a part-time E-Mediator through the E-VIBE program focused on youth violence prevention. Help identify and mitigate online threats while enhancing community support.
In this role, you will address the challenges youth face in online environments by leveraging your expertise in social media. The E-VIBE initiative is designed to intervene before violence escalates, making it vital to monitor online behavior and de-escalate conflicts. Your participation in this project is essential to creating safer community spaces for all.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete essential E-Mediator training
• Monitor social media for potential violence indicators
• Document and report bullying and intimidation trends
• Manage confidentiality around sensitive situations
• Coordinate and lead community workshops
Requirements:
• Solid knowledge of social media platforms
• Lived experience with community violence
• Strong A perspective
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
Promote safety among youth by implementing effective strategies against online violence.
