Position: Front Line Support Counsellor Role
Join Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre as a Front Line Member Services Counsellor and make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. Bring your case management and group facilitation skills to a supportive environment.

In this on-site position, you'll be the initial contact for individuals facing cancer, utilizing your 3-5 years of experience in social work or human services to deliver compassionate support.

Your role encompasses emotional counseling, managing a caseload, and facilitating vital support groups, all aimed at enhancing member well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake interviews and emotional support assessments

• Manage personal caseload with follow-up support

• Lead and co-facilitate wellness programs and seminars

• Keep accurate Sumac/Societ records for all cases

• Ensure member satisfaction through effective follow-up

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience in counseling or social work

• Degree or diploma in Social Work or related fields

• Proficiency in MS Office and database management

• Strong community resources knowledge

• Effective oral and written communication skills
