Become an essential Employment Advisor with the John Howard Society, specializing in client-centered services to enhance job readiness. This role focuses on employment counselling, job placement, and community engagement initiatives.

As an Employment/Employer Advisor in the Employment & Training Services department, you will provide comprehensive support to clients re-entering the workforce. Key responsibilities include personalized assessments, job development activities, and case management. Your efforts will promote sustainable employment through individualized support and community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct personalized assessments of client skills and motivations

• Provide case management and referrals for life stabilization

• Facilitate job search strategies and employment readiness workshops

• Manage high-volume caseload effectively to meet targets

• Develop community partnerships for job matching and advocacy

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Social Services or related fields

• Experience in employment counselling with diverse populations

• Proficient in case management and motivational interviewing

• Familiarity with EOIS-CaMS and data management systems

• Strong communication and organizational skills
