Support residents overnight at Sudbury Cedar Place using crisis support, referrals, and accurate HIFIS records. Work full time from 12:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
The Salvation Army seeks a permanent full time Overnight Worker for its Sudbury shelter. Provide a safe, welcoming environment while assisting individuals and families through community referrals and housing supports. Prepare meals, conduct rounds, and maintain records throughout each shift.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide purposeful support to individuals and families overnight
- Record activities, behaviors, incidents, and required follow-up
- Complete intakes, prescreen guests, and track turnaways
- Conduct rounds and check windows, doors, and exits
- Prepare meals, organize food, and maintain shelter cleanliness
- More than three months but less than one year experience
- Minimum Grade XII diploma
- Trauma-informed approach and objective, approachable communication
- Basic computer and clerical skills
- First Aid, CPR, and Safe Food Handlers certification
