Operator and Loader

Position: Operator and Loader Role
Take on a pivotal role as an Operator and Loader for waste collection with the City of Oshawa. Focused on efficient waste pickup, you'll operate vehicles and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

In this position, you'll work under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, collecting waste along pre-assigned routes. The role requires at least one year of experience operating refuse equipment and a commitment to safety standards according to Ontario legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and load waste along designated routes

• Operate waste collection vehicles safely

• Carry out Winter Control tasks as assigned

• Uphold City of Oshawa values of Authenticity, Courage, and Trust

• Fulfill additional assigned duties as necessary

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and relevant experience

• Valid Class DZ Ontario Driver's License in good standing

• Capability to lift heavy items regularly

• Effective communication skills for teamwork

• Compliance with training requirements for operational standards
